Range Safety

The Range Safety Section enforces safety and inspection standards/regulations on all ranges and training areas. In the event that a safety violation is discovered, the Range Safety Inspector imposes an immediate cease fire, if necessary, and directs required corrective action. Each Range Inspector serves as a direct representative of the Director, Operations and Training for control of the entire MWTC designated training area.

Radio Support:

For all units that do not possess standard military radio equipment, the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Range Control Facility has a minimal amount of communications equipment. Therefore, in order to support as many training activities as possible, the Range Control Facility must issue communications equipment by reservation. RCF Communications equipment reservations must be made at the time of your RFMSS range and training area requests. The Range Control Facility will not accept e-mail requests or phone requests for communications support. This form must be completed, and a signature is required. Please complete the form and fax to: (760)932-1686. Upon processing your request/reservation form, you will receive a confirmation e-mail, indicating your request for communications equipment has been processed. MCMWTC S-6 is capable of supporting larger requests for communications support.
